The project is a transformation of an open loft into a double acting office and showroom space for the Asian designer Sarah Jiang. Taking a large floor of an indutrial building in the Times Square area of New York City, the design recomposed the two separate spaces into one flexible continuum. Via large sliding doors and a continuous, snake-like ceiling, the private office rooms blend with the front entry and showroom area. Walls are designed to look “lifted” and create a sense of dynamism to reflect the vibrant design line. Utilizing the exiting industrial features of the space, the new walls are juxtaposed as modern scupltural planes which offer an ever changing background to the mock up necessity of the display sessions.
